Position:

Qualitative Researcher

Description:

The Office of Informatics and Analytics at the Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a qualitative researcher to evaluate our process of data collection for the State Unintentional Drug Overdose Reporting System (SUDORS). SUDORS collects information on unintentional and undetermined drug overdose deaths that occur in Tennessee. Information is collected from death certificates, autopsy reports, toxicology reports, and MDI-Log, entered and cleaned into REDCap, and then entered into the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) which houses SUDORS. We have conducted a number of process improvements and are looking to determine their efficiency and usefulness. The qualitative researcher would develop a framework to evaluate our SUDORS process and develop a best practices guide.

Skills required:

-          Experience conducting process evaluations in an applied setting, with findings translated into actionable insights
