Description 76105 Nutrition Security Project Director Job Summary: The Nutrition Security Project Director will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects related to food access and nutrition security efforts for the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH), Division of Health Disparities Elimination. This position will support key division leadership by providing technical oversight and input on the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of food access and nutrition security projects as directed. Must live in Tennessee. Key Duties/Responsibilities: · Plan and convene meetings with internal and external partners that support nutrition security efforts across the state · Identify emerging issues/opportunities related to food access, and work across sectors to convene key stakeholders and collaboratively develop action plans to address them · Leverage existing resources and establish new partnerships that support nutrition security in Tennessee · Support multi stakeholder, high impact projects and programs that fill gaps in the food system and advance equitable, community-driven solutions to address food access problems · Participate in coalition and council meetings and activities as needed
Skills and Abilities: · Attention to detail and strong organizational skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Excellent interpersonal, team building, and relationship-building skills · Ability to share complex information clearly and confidently with stakeholder groups · Facilitation experience and the ability to work collaboratively with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds is essential · Ability to navigate complex relationships, work within multifaceted systems, and identify nuanced opportunities to move projects forward · Intermediate level proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition, public health or related field is required; master’s degree preferred.
