seeking a financial analyst at its Edina, MN office to support its Consumer Electronic business with a key retailer.  This role will serve as the central point of contact with the retailer’s analysts, financial, and post audit teams on the financial matters of the business.  A major responsibility of this role will include validating, disputing, and processing billing claims.  This role will work closely with the sales and supply chain team to determine the validity of these claims.  Finally, the coordinator will play a lead role in driving resolution on outstanding financial issues with the retailer. 

Roles & Responsibility

•     Manage budgeted MDF (Marketing Development Funds) for use with key retailer

•     Maintain and analyze budget worksheets.  Present budget analysis to internal team advising on potential over/under spends.

•     Receive claims and chargebacks against MDF and Sales budgets.  Validate claims, investigate chargebacks, and gather necessary back-up documentation. 

•     Process and submit claims in SAP for payment

•     Research and drive resolution with retailer on disputed chargebacks and post audits

•     Maintain tracking mechanism for approved spending programs.  Work collaboratively with Sales team to obtain necessary spending approvals

•     Client Service- this role will serve as the single point of contact with the retailer’s analyst, financial teams, and audit teams surrounding financial matters of the business

•     Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills and Attributes:

•     Bachelor’s Degree with 2-3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance based role

•     Proficiency in using the Tableau and Alteryx 

•     Strong communication skills

•     Ability to work independently & manage multiple competing demands

•     Participative & collaborates to problem solve

•     Ability to meet deadlines under pressure

•     Analytical, attention to detail and accuracy

•     Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite - High proficiency in Excel

 

Summary:

The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.

 

Job Responsibilities:

? Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.

? Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.

? Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.

 

Skills:

? Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

? Basic ability to work independently and manage one?s time.

? Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

? Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.

? Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.

? Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
