Summary:

The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients. This role will be responsible for Warehouse Operations cost management and analytics.

  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.

 

 

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES

•             Analyze, verify, dispute financial data/invoices and present material in a professional manner.

•             Track, measure, report, and support Internal Management (Warehouse, Contracting, and Finance) and external service providers (3PL’s) in regards to all aspects of cost management and analytics.

•             Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures related to cost management of warehouse operations.

•             Communicate with the vendors to collect invoices and necessary backups, to reconcile issues, and to pay them timely and fairly.

•             Prepare cost analysis on warehouse operations and logistics costs for use within warehouse management.

•             Improve financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends.

•             Participate in annual budget planning and cost saving activities in corporation with each unit part team.

•             Issue Risk Management and support ad-hoc reports as directed by the management.

•             Create supporting material, analytics, and presentations for management reviews and meetings.

  • Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
  • Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
  • Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•             This position requires a strong analytical background with the ability to analyze, verify, dispute financial data/invoices and present material in a professional manner.

•             Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze problems, gathering information, generating options, and driving action.

•             Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has the ability to work under time pressures.

•             Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Finance, Operations Management with 7+ years of relevant experience.

•             Knowledge of key supply chain/logistics processes and current best practices.

•             Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and create original analyses.

•             Strong interpersonal and consensus building skills.

•             Previous experience using SAP WMS is desired.

•             Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, focused on Excel and PowerPoint is desired.

•             CPA preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
  • 2-4 years financial and/or accounting experience required
