Job Description

Job Title: Financial Analyst 2

Location: Ridgefield Park, NJ

Duration: 12 months

Job Description:

The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review PUMIs and become Finance contact point for two departments within SEA in advance to controller’s approval, and make sure to understand the validity of the cost and calculate potential impact to SEA P&L forecasts
  • Regularly communicate with departments to support mange spending within yearly approved budget
  • Role will be in charge to review approved budget and enter budget into system for teams to submit expense reports/invoices utilizing approved budget in NERP (SAP FI module)
  • Conduct 3-month business forecasts, including comprehensive forecasts on overhead expenses as well as of business environmental changes to provide better financial visibility to management
  • Maintain company overhead DB by cost center and general ledger level and utilize the database to respond to various requests both from SEA and Suwon Office (Korea HQ)
  • Cooperate with SDSA team to manage company workflows and respond to FAQs in using Knox and RMS systems
  • Investigate irregular financial trends by linking financial information with business results, previous variance analyses, in-depth raw data examination, and close communication with related business teams/divisions
  • Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
  • Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
  • Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.

 

 

Background/Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Have at least 2-3 years related accounting experience with previous budget management experience preferred
  • Be able to speak and write Korean (Bilingual preferred for communication with Suwon office)
  • Have accounting experience utilizing SAP Software (FI / CO module preferred)
  • Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with Excel spreadsheet preparation skills

  • Basic ability to work independently and manage one s time.
  • Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
  • Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
  • Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
