Job Summary: The Fiber Construction Manager will oversee all aspects of fiber network construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to safety and industry standards. This role involves managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams, and ensuring that fiber construction and testing are executed efficiently and within budget. 

Key Responsibilities: • Plan, manage, and oversee end-to-end fiber network construction projects, from site preparation through completion and acceptance. • Manage multiple concurrent construction projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. • Collaborate with engineering, design, permitting, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution. • Coordinate and manage vendors and contractors, including bid evaluations, work allocation, and performance tracking. • Ensure all construction activities comply with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards. • Conduct regular field inspections and audits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. • Review and approve project documentation including construction drawings, as-builts, and test reports. • Utilize fiber testing tools (e.g., OTDR, power meters, light sources) to validate fiber optic network performance and integrity. • Identify potential risks or issues in project execution and develop mitigation plans proactively. • Report project status, risks, and milestones to senior management and stakeholders regularly. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of experience in managing fiber network construction projects in the telecommunications industry. • Proven project management experience handling multiple complex construction projects simultaneously. • Strong vendor management experience including contract negotiation and performance oversight. • Hands-on experience with fiber testing tools such as OTDR, power meter, and light source. • Deep understanding of fiber network design, installation, splicing, and testing processes. • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. • Ability to travel to project sites as needed. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: • PMP or equivalent Project Management Certification. • Experience with GIS mapping, construction tracking tools, or fiber management software. • Knowledge of local and federal construction regulations and safety standards.
