Job Title: Financial Analyst 3

Location: Coppell, TX

Duration: 3 months

Job Description:

The Financial Analyst will be accountable for generating monthly forecasts, financial reports, audit of invoice processing, budgeting (operational spend), month end activities (accrual, re-classing spend, etc).

The position requires interaction with a broad number of employees to validate data and collaborate on discrepancies found. This position is a key role in the critical analysis of costs associated with the overall mobile logistics operations (Import, Warehouse & Transportation). This position is also responsible for supporting improvement opportunities throughout the organization, for monitoring discrepancies and escalating to appropriate parties.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONISIBLITIES

• Data analysis

• Develop financial models that help with decision-making

• Produce financial reports related to expenses, budgets, account payables, cost savings, etc.

• Review monitoring, and manage budgets

• Create and submit monthly forecast and variance analysis

• Reallocation of costs to appropriate cost centers

• Manage month end closing process

• Identify opportunities for performance improvement

• Work closely with business operations leaders, finance, accounting, HQ, and other logistics members to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives

• Understand and calculate the risks involved in the financial activities

• Responsible for driving continuous process improvements as related to financial management and reporting

• Ad-Hoc Projects

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related (essential)

• Minimum 5 years in financial planning & analysis, accounting, corporate finance, or other related fields

• Results driven and ability to handle multiple projects

• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and presentation skills with an ability to lead meetings and prepare presentations with internal & external stakeholders

• High proficiency in MS Excel, & PowerPoint

• Experience in a logistics supply chain (operations) environment preferred

• Experience with SAP preferred
