Job title: Ontology Business Consultant

Location: Tampa, FL- Remote

Duration: 6 months

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities

We're looking for an otologist who can

Design and evolve a privacy-focused semantic model (key concepts| relationships| constraints) Translate business and regulatory requirements into a practical ontology that supports real competency questions

Define data quality and validation rules aligned to audit and compliance needs

Design semantic ingestion patterns and map various data source systems

Partner closely with product| engineering| and data teams to ensure the model is performant| queryable| and fit for delivery From a tooling and delivery perspective| this includes experience with

Stardog and SPARQL (preferred) - Ontology versioning and change management

Ensuring the model can be efficiently consumed by dashboards (Power BI)| APIs| web UIs| and audit exports

Desirable Skills:

Digital: Machine Learning AI & Gen AI - Products & Tools~Cognos Data Integration
Experience Required: 10 & Above

 

MUST HAVE:

Strong hands-on experience with RDF, OWL, SHACL, and advanced SPARQL query writing and optimization.

Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise ontologies/knowledge graphs from business and regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience with Stardog (preferred) or GraphDB/Blazegraph/Neptune, including reasoning, inference, and performance tuning.

Experience managing ontology lifecycle, version control, change management, and defining validation rules aligned with audit/compliance needs.

Ability to design ingestion patterns and map multiple source systems into a semantic model consumable by dashboards (Power BI), APIs, and web applications.
