Job title: Financial Analyst 3

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 12 months

Description:

Role and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:

•        Analyze actual operating results and interpret data and presents results to management

•        Respond to budget related requests for financial data

•        Responsible for reconciling promotional claims and POS activity

•        Research payment reconciliation issues that arise from audits, exception reports or remittance changes

•        Generate required reporting to validate payments and resolve discrepancies and variances

•        Reconcile carrier commissions against in-store reporting to ensure timely and accurate payment

•        Responsible for finance/reporting, financial data analytics

•        Deliver reporting and analytics to a variety of key business stakeholders, utilizing appropriate data to effectively create actionable spending plans

Background & Competencies Required:

•        Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of directly related experience is required

•        Prior experience in retail operations preferred

•        Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP R/3 software

•        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience  with solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Job Responsibilities:

? Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.

? Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.

? Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.

? Present oral and written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations and entire industries.

 

Skills:

? Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

? Ability to work independently and manage one?s time.

? Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

? Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.

? Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.

? Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.

 

Education/Experience:

? Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.

? 5-7 years financial and/or accounting experience required
