Job Description
Sr. RF Regulatory specialist Required The preferred candidate: Recent college graduate with potential to fill a bigger network need upon completion of this project or at a later date (not a firm requirement) Project management skills 2 or 4 yr college degree, BSEE or BS Physics a plus Personal computer and Microsoft Office application skills; database skills a plus Excellent oral/written communication skills needed, including accurate task tracking ability, strong follow-up and people skills Familiarity with wireless service provider network infrastructure RF components – radio base stations, coaxial transmission lines, power dividers/combiners, couplers/diplexers/triplexers, antennas, tower structures, rooftop installations Valid driver’s license Project Description: Learn RF-related regulatory requirements for wireless communication sites Collect and report site-specific information using methodology developed for Verizon Wireless regional network teams and Headquarters regulatory compliance groups Track, complete milestones and enter relevant information in associated databases and project workflow trackers Submit requests for contour extensions, frequency coordination or system design changes to non-VzW service providers where required; document, track and follow-up until agreements agreed upon by both parties Work closely with VzW network engineers, regulatory personnel, real estate personnel, construction teams and operations staff Report on progress of all projects at regular intervals Site visits as needed to collect information, photographs of current and recently completed installations Derive and communicate process improvement opportunities to streamline and improve end to end regulatory processes Opportunities to assist RF Design team in other non-regulatory tasks/projects based on group workloads Excellent oral/written communication skills needed, including accurate task tracking ability, strong
