Job Description
The Revenue Systems Analyst will primarily support the global Revenue Operations team in engaging with our global business leaders and process owners to help identify and implement solutions/enhancements. This includes supporting the entire project life cycle from initial implementation to org readiness and on-going production support. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders on the global Revenue Operations team to understand their processes and systems used, as well as accounting impacts/considerations. This individual will be responsible for project planning, which includes tracking current/upcoming projects and resource needs, as well as executing User Acceptance Testing, planning and executing go-live activities and providing post go-live support during projects. This individual will specialize in reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business processes and user needs in order to formulate solutions that enable the overall business strategies. Role Responsibilities: Participate in the project planning process and assess accounting impacts Communicate and translate program rules and requirements effectively between functional areas and supporting departments Review and/or write clear, complete business requirements documentation, including support for related developments with supervision Utilize past experience and knowledge of accounting, finance and reporting to recommend appropriate business process solutions to new business requirements Manage own time and deadlines appropriately. Accurately determine task duration and dependencies for own assignments. Communicate status updates to manager on a regular basis Participate in the execution and remediation for testing activities during the implementation lifecycle, including UAT scoping, scenario definition, data validation, and execution of testing Support the development and delivery of training assets Apply project life cycle methodology across assigned processes and systems Independently complete project documentation and work with internal Revenue Operations stakeholders to gain approval. Participate in the project planning process Systems supported primarily include SAP ECC, Hybris, RevPro, SAP BW, and SAP BPC Identify training gaps and create training opportunities when needed Generate project status, management reports and UAT status as required to executive audiences Provide ad-hoc support as required including for month-end and quarter end close process Ensuring consistently reliable reporting from systems and demonstrate subject matter expertise for any reporting needs Preferred Qualifications: Ability to interact effectively with executives, functional peer groups and subordinates to gain commitment and cooperation from others, especially those in other departments with competing priorities Advanced oral and written communications skills, as well as advanced presentation skills; ability to lead meetings internally and externally and executive briefings. Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel Experience working with RevPro or SAP FICO systems Understanding of cross module/system impacts Strives to improve performance and to have a significant impact on department’s success Demonstrates strong analytical skills Detailed understanding of accounting guidelines for software revenue recognition preferred Proficient in researching and interpreting accounting literature Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a good team player Advanced analytical and problem definition and solving abilities Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and other productivity tools Must be responsive and deadline-oriented with a sense of urgency Advanced knowledge and application of project management methodologies Ability to develop user acceptance test data, scripts, and plans Ability to create process flow diagrams Preferred Functional/Technical Qualifications: Functional ERP experience preferred (i.e. SAP, Oracle, or SFDC) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA or Master’s degree preferred CPA license preferred Experience in Financial Systems Implementation/Project Management experience (nice to have) 2-3 years experience in Big 6/ public Accounting Detailed working knowledge of GAAP Basic Qualifications: Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 3 years; or PhD with no years of experience
