Job Description
The cable installers/technicians will support our In-Building Team, and travel throughout the region installing DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) Cabling infrastructure at client sites. Cable installers/technicians will provide the installation, termination and testing of all DAS cabling. Installing ½” coax primarily with occasional installation of fiber optic cabling. Installations may include working in attics, crawl spaces and office environments. Some projects may require regional travel and working non-standard hours. Assist with rough-in cable.  Pulling and routing ½” coaxial cable in a new construction or existing office environment. Strong experience with ½” coax cable and terminations and dressing/terminating including compression connectors. Experience with installing DAS systems including rack and stack and cable management. Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks). The ability to work a flexible schedule including after hours and weekends. Strong customer service and communication skills. Previous experience with JMA, Solid, Corning MobileAccess and/or Commscope Distributed Antenna Systems. Minimum 1-year experience with ½” coax cable installation, termination and testing. Anritsu Sweep experience – Certification a Plus – PIM Testing Experience – Kaelus Certification a plus. Experience running or bending conduit, along with using digital multi-meters, and cable testers. Troubleshooting networking issues. Rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels Must possess Your own basic telecom tools including snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, PPE (hard hat, vest, safety glasses and work boots) etc. Must be comfortable working outdoors and in small spaces (crawl space, attics).
