Job Description
Brief Duty Description:  - Provide project management support to ensure overall success of initiatives by updating project implementation plans including project business benefit, scope, objectives, schedule, deliverables, budget and success criteria that support business goals in collaboration with management and project sponsors. - Support project team members and contractors and encourage them to take positive action and accountability for assigned work. - Provide necessary reporting to ensure effective project communication occurs and is available. - Determine content of status reports from the project team, troubleshoot problem areas and deliver overall progress reports. - Maintain relationships across OIT, customers and vendors to develop an understanding of core business functions and align project with overall business objectives. - Participate in project post-mortem assessments and suggest improvements in process or procedure. - Manage issues and proactively escalate critical issues for immediate resolution. Provide specific examples of regular, ongoing decisions made by this position related to this duty. - Decide on best way to accomplish tasks. - Follow up as necessary to ensure task delivery. - Create process for improving data quality. - Coordinate with the customer, IT Portfolio Manager, Project Managers, business analysis/test staff, IT Director and vendors (when necessary) to ensure projects are on-boarded properly with all documentation received and recorded properly. - Decide on best approaches to gathering measurements. - Decide on best way to communicate results of analysis. - Create process for improving data quality. - Decide nature of project for project gating, status, reporting and dashboards and ensure that customer has the ability to see status and/or plan of any documented project. In performing this duty, provide examples of typical problems or challenges encountered by this position, and the guidance used to resolve the problem. - This position will need to work with Project Managers, the IT Portfolio Manager and the IT Director to gather needed data and will need to challenge the data when it is inconsistent. Position will need to work with people who are resistant to making changes.  The position must also coordinate meetings to review required gating and project documents and assist in soliciting input for completion of the documents for submission. - Will need to coordinate across functional silos and with external parties (vendors). Will need to manage competing priorities and stringent deadlines.  Manage multiple tasks within deadlines and determine priority. B. Duty: Resource Management 15% Brief Duty Description:  - Position provides general resource requesting and coordination for projects as needed. Provide specific examples of regular, ongoing decisions made by this position related to this duty. - Assist with requests for additional staff and/or contractors to complete technology projects - Coordinate project related activities for cross functional team(s). In performing this duty, provide examples of typical problems or challenges encountered by this position, and the guidance used to resolve the problem. - Will need to manage competing priorities and stringent deadlines. Manage multiple tasks within deadlines and determines priority meanwhile interacting with all levels of OIT management and across OIT departments, customer agencies and organizational boundaries.     C.
